We just finished up a weekend at the Midwest Bassmaster's Swap Meet in Des Moines. There was a great turnout of anglers from across the Midwest, and we were pleasantly surprised at the interest in the multiple fly-fishing booths at the show (Trout Unlimited, Central Iowa Fly Fishers, Fly Fish Iowa).

Even so, we can't help but look ahead to open water season. With days in the 50's and 60's forecasted throughout the week here in central Iowa, it can't be that far off, right?

A "Flasher"- a great pattern for many species
